The biggest Greek online food delivery platform “EFOOD” is a typical example of automated marketing in eCommerce. Once a subscriber makes a registration and inserts his/her personal details (name, address, age, food preference, etc.), the platform provides you with the best food deals (e. g. 1+1 pizza, 5€ discount coupon, etc.) in restaurants located close to where you live. Even if you are in another place, for example, when visiting a friend, by using the location indicator on your mobile device, the E-FOOD app offers you deals and discount coupons for restaurants located in that area.

Additionally, the platform uses automatic replies and email notifications, targets its customers with social media advertisements on Facebook and Instagram and, also, accepts and processes electronic payments.
Being the biggest online food application in Greece and with the use of automated marketing techniques, like the ones mentioned above, EFOOD managed to increase its revenues from €43M in 2019, to €64M in 2020 (Gkitsi A., 2021).
Romania
e-MAG is a Romanian company owned by Naspers, which deals with the online sale of IT equipment and components, electronics, appliances, personal care items, automotive products, sporting goods, books, music, movies, furniture and home and garden products, pet shop, children’s items, toys.
eMAG started in 2001 as an online store for computer systems and office products. In 2012, eMAG expanded into foreign markets, with the company trading online in Bulgaria through www.emag.bg, where it quickly reached a market share of 60%. This expansion was followed by the one in Hungary, in 2013, where eMAG has a market share of 10%, as well as the one in Poland in 2014 by taking over the local platform Agito and transforming it into emag.pl. In 2014, foreign markets totalled 10% of the company’s sales. In 2016, eMAG recorded 27.1 million site visits in July (representing cumulative visits to the 4 markets), of which 19 million site visits in Romania.

In 2020, the sales were increased with almost 50% and because the demand for e-commerce was high, 2021 was very good with days and weeks when the growth was over 100%.

If a customer can’t find the scanner, they can just turn on the app and scan the product by themselves. Users can also access all receipts of previous purchases through the app.

Sending messages is smooth, and FreshMail Designer expands its audience by creating signup forms and landing pages. Myprotein was founded in 2004. The company’s offices are in Manchester, but the company is active in more than 70 countries. They specialize in quality sports nutrition products such as protein powders, vitamins, and snacks but they have also created a range of sportswear. Myprotein has also won many awards during its operating years.[1]
